Esteban Leiva
BA Philosophy (National University of Córdoba, UNC), MA Philosophy, Science and Values (University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU - National Autonomous University of México, UNAM). Currently undergoing my PhD studies within the "Philosophy, Science and Values" joint PhD Program at University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU and National Autonomous University of México, UNAM.
I am assistant professor in Epistemology of Social Science in the School of History and in the School of Education Sciences, Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities at the National University of Córdoba; and also at the Faculty of Education and Health at the Provincial University of Córdoba.
I‘ve done several research stays at Miguel Sánchez-Mazas Chair, at UPV/EHU. I am also co-director of the research project "Social Ontology and Power. Conceptual, political educational and cultural dimensions" (2018-2021), funded by the Science and Technology Secretariat, UNC.
My research interests mainly include: philosophy and epistemology of social sciences, philosophy and epistemology of economics. My PhD research focuses on relational ontology in Amartya Sen's "Capability Approach".
