David-Álvaro Martínez
BA in English Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and MA in Epistemology of Natural and Social Sciences (UCM). My research interests relates to philosophy of science and epistemology, and more specifically, to the implementation of open anticipatory practices in nanotechnology and nanomedicine.
I am currently pursuing my PhD as a FPI fellow within the PRAXIS Research Project “Responsible emerging technologies: the construction of socio-technical futures through open anticipatory governance (TERGA)”, led by Andoni Ibarra and Hannot Rodríguez. My doctoral research relates to the implementation of operational mechanisms of open anticipatory governance to one of the fields of R+D+i in nanotechnology: nanomedicine. In order to do so, I actively collaborate with and work at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), promoting a co-production of sociotechnical knowledge within the framework of productive dynamics of the company Applied Nanoparticles (AppNPs).
