ELECTRONIC INVOICING
REGULATIONS ON ELECTRONIC INVOICING
Article 8 of the general regulations for economic management "FACE is the General Point of Entry for Electronic Invoices of the Spanish Government. Suppliers we work with must send invoices for sums over 300 euros (including VAT) for supplies delivered or services provided in electronic format, so they must first be registered on the system."
ADVANTAGES OF ELECTRONIC INVOICING
The advantages of electronic invoicing include the following:
Improved service to suppliers
Greater efficiency through the generation, sending and automatic, immediate reception of invoices. It also cuts the time taken to issue and delivery invoices and reduced errors due to manual recording by the authorities (the original data entered by the supplier reach their destination automatically).
Security and speed of submission of invoices and issuing of supporting documents. Suppliers have complete guarantees that invoices are recorded and received by the authorities.
Consulting invoices submitted online The supplier can find out at any time the state of processing of their invoices - as long as they have been recorded and accepted - in order to plan their cash flow better.
Greater protection for suppliers, reducing public sector late payment and allowing better accounting control, of invoices outstanding, helping to improve control over public spending and reinforce transparency.
Cost savings and sustainability
Savings on the costs of issuing, sending and filing invoices in comparison with traditional paper-based invoicing systems.
Reduced use of paper, helping to preserve the environment.
ELECTRONIC INVOICING MANAGEMENT 3.4
Technical support for the Facturae electronic invoice generating application is no longer provided. FACe only deals with problems sending and consulting invoices; it does not deal with problems generating electronic invoices or related to Facturae. If you need to send an invoice to the authorities and do not know how to do so, the following link offers you a list of invoicing service companies already connected to FACe. This list shows the different services each of them provides and whether they are free or paid. |
The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism has developed the Gestión de Facturación Electrónica (Electronic Invoice Management) application to allow the generation of electronic invoices in Facturae format (PRE Order/2971/2007) conveniently and simply. Created with open software, this is a programme aimed at SMEs, microSMEs and freelancers, who it will enable to solve problems arising from storing paper invoices. The new version, Electronic Invoicing Management 3.4, features minor improvements on its predecessor:
- It allows invoices to be cancelled.
- Integration with version v2015 of FACe web services at the time of publication of this application.
- Fix for a problem that stopped the language selection window closing.
- The addresses of FACe administrative centres are filled in automatically based on the data entered for the Receiver.
- Only pdf attachments are allowed.
Version 3.4 is compatible with earlier versions. To keep data, simply install in the same installation directory as the previous version of the application.
Three installers are provided, according to the operating system:
