MASTER’S DEGREE IN PSYCHOPEDAGOGY: PSYCHOLOGY OF EDUCATION AND SPECIFIC TEACHING METHODS
KEY FACTS ABOUT THE MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMME
Psychopedagogy refers to a combined field that brings together Psychology of Education and Specific Teaching methods; in other words, this is the branch of Psychology that specifically focuses on the learning/teaching processes and the pedagogical concern for the organisation and the teaching/learning of different academic contents.
This master’s degree provides an in-depth examination of educators' academic training, while at the same time qualifies for educational research in the two main fields of psychopedagogy: socio-personal guidance/education and teaching/learning of academic contents, or specific teaching methods.
To this end, the training programme covers the psycho-educational variables involved in learning, as well as their relationship with social and personal adjustment in the educational setting.
In addition, this master’s degree provides the knowledge of research methodology needed to design and conduct educational research from a gender-based perspective.
This prepares students for entry into the Ph.D. programme in Psychopedagogy: Psychology of Education and Specific Teaching Methods.
This master’s degree is also offered through the Latin American Graduate Education Network.
