1st meeting of the Enlight Interdisciplinary Network on the impact of gender in health

OBJECTIVES

  • To promote an international network within the ENLIGHT community that will provide multi, inter- and transdisciplinary collaborations in scientific and educational initiatives to work on the impact of gender inequalities in health and wellbeing.
  • To raise awareness of the impact that sex and gender produce in the expression of health and disease states and healthy ageing.
  • To address the gaps in biomedical research in terms of sex and gender inclusion in study designs.
  • To integrate these principles into education and help the academic community, specially undergraduate students of Health Sciences, to develop the ability to identify and evaluate health inequalities based on sex and gender in order to design solutions.
