Dr. Igor Fernández received the M.S. Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of the Basque Country, Spain, in 2001. In 2003 he joined the TSR (Radiocommunications and Signal Processing) research group at the Department of Communications Engineering of the University of the Basque Country, where he is currently an assistant professor. He received the PhD degree for a characterization of signal and noise for DRM in the medium wave band in indoor environments in July 2011. His current research interests focus on new digital broadcasting technologies and analysis of interferences of renewable systems on communications, such as energy renewable resources on PLC.
