GENERAL X-RAY SERVICE

The Regulations governing the Advanced Research Facilities (SGIker) of the UPV/EHU state that users who use the equipment and facilities of the X-ray Service must contribute towards maintenance costs, depending on the time taken, the equipment and materials used, and the type of service requested. To establish the rates for the General X-ray Service, the expenses required for the smooth running and maintenance of the equipment and additional installations have been taken into account. Rates are valid for one calendar year, and the following types of rate have been defined:

• Researchers from the UPV/EHU: invoicing shall be carried out periodically via internal invoicing (transfer between UGAs). No VAT shall be applied to the rates for work requested by Departments from the UPV/EHU.
• Companies and Private Centres:  includes treatment of data, their interpretation and the drafting of a report. Invoicing shall be for each specific work. Requires acceptance of prior estimate, to be processed via the SGIker office. The relevant VAT must be added to the rates quoted. 

The X-ray service reserves the right to decide what equipment to use to carry out the tasks requested by users. In all cases, reductions in rates may be agreed according to volumes of samples or agreements established with other universities, entities or companies.
