In December 2001 he became a professor at the E.U.I.T.M. and O.P. initially in Barakaldo, since September 2012 the center has moved to Bilbao and is currently a section of the Bilbao School of Engineering.

He teaches in the area of ​​Construction Engineering, beginning his research work of a fundamental nature, participating in several projects always related to construction and its materials, the most relevant being the MIVES project.
