Summary

Architect specialized in rehabilitation and intervention in historical heritage. Professional experience in the Basque Country and Portugal, both in architecture studios and construction management, from the design phase to the execution project and in an interdisciplinary environment, in collaboration with engineers, archaeologists and public institutions.

She is currently a postdoctoral researcher within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His work focuses on the modelling and simulation of urban spaces and buildings, considering the interaction between them, to understand the direct and indirect impacts of climate change and the hazards of natural disasters, and in order to develop strategies to promote resilience and more sustainable interventions.

Her doctoral thesis aimed to develop a knowledge framework that would increase resilience, reduce vulnerability and promote better and safer interventions in historic urban areas, through a risk assessment methodology against heat waves.
