Summary

Industrial Engineer (2002) and PhD in Mechanical Engineering (2013) from the University of the Basque Country, where he has been a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering since 2003. He has been an Associate Professor since 2014. Regarding teaching, he teaches subjects within of the Degree in Civil Engineering and in the Master's Degree in Construction Engineering at the Bilbao School of Engineering. Regarding research, he belongs to the SAREN Research Group "Sustainable and Resilient Built Environment" of the Basque University System. His research activity is mainly oriented to the study of the structural behaviour of more sustainable materials for their application in construction. He has participated in various regional and state research projects. He is co-author of 13 articles in journals included in the Journal Citation Report database.
