This paper presents the Discover your Potential to Educate your Sons and Daughters program, which consists of an evaluation of the quality of the family context, carried out through a home visit to families with children between zero and three years of age referred from the educational, social and health fields. The assessment is followed by an intervention phase and an evaluation of the impact of the intervention. The results show that the psychoeducational intervention on parental competencies such as the promotion of play, the promotion of cognitive development, adaptive coping with stress and others, improves the performance of families in these competencies. During the process of program implementation, areas for improvement are detected and implications for policy action based on the keys to positive parenting are derived.
