(<strong>Associate Professor, Research Group:</strong> Rheology)
Biografia
Education
Agurtzane Múgica graduated in Chemistry (with a minor in Macromolecules) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), San Sebastián. Later she obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the same University working in a theoretical and experimental study of miscibility and interactions in polymer blends, under the supervision of Prof. M. Cortazar.
She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Polymer Science and Technology, Faculty of Chemistry, UPV/EHU and teaches Physical Chemistry and Polymer Science at both undergraduate and graduate level. She is also a member of the Research Institute for Polymer Materials (POLYMAT). A. Múgica is a thermal analysis specialist with experience in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) as well as, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
Ikerketa
Her current research interests are focused on the following topics: theoretical and experimental study of polymer blends, their interactions and interphases; thermal properties, morphology, nucleation, crystallization and crystallization kinetics of semi-crystalline materials and of multiphasic materials (in particular polymer blends, block copolymers, biopolymers and nano-composites).
She has co-authored 15 publications in international peer review journals and has participated in several international Congresses
