Assistant Professor

Mechanical Engineer and Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Completed his Postdoctoral studies at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, and currently teaches in the Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Bilbao School of Engineering.

His researching activity focuses mainly on the development of procedures for topology optimization for structures and its integration with Additive Manufacturing technologies. He is coauthor in many research papers, and contributed to several national and international conferences.

He was participant in 2 European research projects and 2 research projects founded by the Department of Investigation of the Basque Government.

He teaches the subjects “Material Elasticity and Strength” and “Elastic Solids Calculation”, both related with the calculation of structures and mechanical elements, and both included in the Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Ingeniero Industrial y Doctor en Ingeniería Industrial (2018) por la Universidad del País Vasco / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU). Realizó sus estudios de Postdoctorado en la Universidad de Leeds, Reino Unido, y actualmente imparte docencia en el Grado en Ingeniería Industrial de la Escuela de Ingeniería de Bilbao.

Su actividad investigadora se centra principalmente en el desarrollo de procedimientos para la optimización de topología de estructuras y su integración en las tecnologías de fabricación aditiva. Es coautor de diversos artículos científicos y cuenta con contribuciones a congresos nacionales e internacionales.

Ha sido participante en 2 proyectos europeos y en 2 proyectos subvencionados por el Departamento de Investigación del Gobierno Vasco.

Su actividad docente está fundamentalmente relacionada con el cálculo de estructuras y elementos mecánicos, dentro del Grado en Tecnologías Industriales impartiendo las asignaturas de Resistencia de Materiales y Cálculo Elástico de Sólidos.
