Autumn and Spring Basque courses (face-to-face/online)
The aim of this course is, not only that you can begin learning our language, Basque, but also to let you know our culture through the face-to-face classes and the activities that will be held outside the classroom. We want you to be able to communicate in Basque in everyday situations and, at the same time, know us better taking a closer look at the traditions, gastronomy, culture and mythology of what will be your house the following months.

Schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 13:30 to 15:30 hours.
Fees:
Exchange program students administered by the Vice-Rectorate of Basque, Culture and Internationalization: Free of charge.
Other students registered in the UPV/EHU: 180 euros (Do not proceed to any payment until your place on the course has been confirmed).
Available level:
Face-to-face and online courses: absolute beginners
Places of the course will be assigned strictly by order of registration. Students of exchange programs administered by the Vice-Rectorate of Basque, Culture and Internationalization will have priority/preference to other students.
We recommend students to read the regulations before fulfilling their registration in our courses.

Students entering the courses after the official beginning date of the course (21 January), will have to update on their own of the topics already given in class.

Mobility/Exchange program students administered by the Vice-Rectorate of Basque, Culture and Internationalization:

Students that have not completed their online registration in GAUR, will have to provide a document stating their admission as exchange students in the UPV/EHU for the academic year 2024-2025 including their host faculty and dates of stay.

International students registered in different postgraduate studies, visiting researchers and/or teaching staff:
- Online registration form > Registration opened until 5 February.
- Document stating being admitted and/or registered in the UPV/EHU for the academic year 2024-2025 as a student, visiting teacher or researcher including host faculty and dates of stay.
- Copy of the bank transfer for the amount of the corresponding registration fee: 180 euros (Do not proceed to any payment until your place on the course has been confirmed).

Exchange program students administered by the Vice-Rectorate of Basque, Culture and Internationalization will have preference taking part in these courses. The secretary´s office of the courses reserves the right to admit other program students within the university community to the existance of places in the different groups available.
We remind you that the last day to complete the registration in this course, this is, to send all documents that might be needed besides the online registration form of the courses, will be 15 February (provisional date). The course secretary's office will send an e-mail to each student, if necessary, with the documentation to be provided and the deadline available for submitting it.

Students registered in this course will receive via e-mail a link to enter the platform of the course.
Important:
- Participation in the online courses will have to be made with the computer camera on. Identification of students is necessary to know if the person assisting to class and taking the exams is the same person registered in them. If it is not made that way, the assistance to class will not be proved nor, in its case, given the exam for passed.
- We remind students that, when courses are being held online, it is absolutely forbidden to pass or exchange the links of the classes to other students without the express consent of the Language Courses´ secretary office, being this a possible cause of expulsion of the students involved.
Syllabus of the course
Besides being published in this site, students will get the syllabus in the beginning of each course. We recommend students to download and keep it just in case they need to present it to their home university to get the credits of the course.
