Presentation

I hold a degree in Biology from the University of Extremadura (2016–2020) and completed my studies with a master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biomedicine at the Complutense University of Madrid (2020-2021). My research career began at the Center for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (CBGP-UPM) in Madrid, and I am currently part of the Molecular Cancer Biology group at the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU), under an FPI predoctoral contract, where I am pursuing my doctoral thesis focused on aspects related to immunology.

Throughout my career, I have worked on various projects, such as studying the structure-function relationship of the H⁺-ATPase type P AHA-2 during my stay at the University of Copenhagen, analyzing differential gene expression in human and mouse adipocytes at the University of Extremadura, and investigating alterations in the intracellular trafficking of the B⁰AT1 amino acid transporter caused by SARS-CoV-2 at the Severo Ochoa Molecular Biology Center (CBMSO). I have also studied the molecular mechanisms of virulence in fungal plant pathogens at CBGP-UPM.

Currently, my research focuses on the role of E2F transcription factors in immune surveillance, with particular emphasis on their involvement in inflammatory bowel diseases and antitumor immunity.
