METABOLOMIPs research group is a part of Department of Analytical Chemistry from the University of Basque Country (UPV-EHU), located at the Faculty of Pharmacy. The research group is recognized as type of Consolidated Group A, by the Department of Education, Universities and Research of the Basque Government.

The group's research lines include the chromatographic method development coupled by mass spectrometry to study biomedical, food, environment samples. Furthermore, focuses its activity on the research of metabolomic science and some subdisciplines as a wineomic, lipidomic… The second line involves the polymeric materials used for making biomimetic selective sensors. For 15 years the group has been specializing in the field of pesticides, metabolites and related molecules, but also have proposed new analytical methodologies for the determination of different drugs and substances of biological or environmental.
