She received her bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and her doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country in 2001 and 2015 respectively. She is a teacher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of the Basque Country since 2003 where she lectures on industrial constructions, manufacturing technologies, and machine design. Since 2004, she has been leading a postgraduate course on the finite element method. Her research interests include kinematic analysis and optimal synthesis of mechanisms, multibody dynamics and computational mechanics applied to structural analysis by finite elements.
