Amaia Arrinda received the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of the Basque Country, Spain, in 1993. Before receiving the degree, she studied for a year at ENST Bretagne, and worked as a researcher at CNET, in both cases in France. In September 1993 she joined the University of the Basque Country as a researcher. She is currently a Professor with the Communications Engineering Department. She belongs to the TSR research group (Radiocommunications and Signal Processing). In February 2001 she presented her doctoral thesis (PhD degree) dealing with interferences between terrestrial analogue and digital TV transmissions. Her current research interests include signal propagation, measurements and simulations in PLC (Power Line Communications) systems and wireless systems. She has been with the Wireless Networks and Communications Research Centre (Brunel University, UK) for four months, during the summer 2008, as a visitor researcher. She has been involved in many research projects and she is co-author of many journal and conference papers.
