Methodology

The Master's methodology comprises various different techniques including individual and in-group learning skills, combining both of them throughout all the learning process. Theoretical lectures will introduce all the fundamental concepts of each subject. In the seminars, the students can have a closer relation with the teacher, working in groups in order to solve proposed problems, discussing interesting topics related to the subject, and making oral presentations. In the practical lectures, the teacher will solve high-level problems, interacting with the students. In the practical sessions, carried out in the laboratories, the students have the opportunity to put into practice all the theoretical concepts and develop the necessary competences for their professional career. Besides, practical classes using computers are envisaged, as calculation, simulation and control programs have a great relevance in industry and are increasing their importance every day.

Assessment

In the evaluation process of the different activities, specific procedures depending on the corresponding subject will be applied. In this way, the written exam establishes the knowledge degree of the concepts and competences of each subject. Depending on the subject, the result of the exam can vary between 25% and 60% of the final grade. The skills for working in group, in the laboratory as well as in the seminars, will be evaluated between 30% and 50%. The individual works, including their elaboration and monitoring, will have between 10% and 25% value, and their attitude during the classes (attention, participation, etc.) will be valued between 5% and 10%. In the evaluation of the Master's Final-Work both the scientific-technique quality of the work and the oral presentation will be considered.Depending on the characteristics of each subject, the evaluation procedures and the weight of each of them is defined by their corresponding lecturing plan.
