I started working in 1997 at the Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao and obtained my PhD at the UPV / EHU in 2004. My doctoral thesis relayed on remote control and monitoring of reconfigurable electronic circuits. Currently, I develop my teaching in the Bachelor`s Degree on Industrial Electronics and Automation and in the Master in Advanced Electronic Systems of the UPV / EHU, as a Full Professor, attached to the Department of Electronic Technology.

In research, I have maintained interest in digital acquisition systems for control and monitoring, with special focus on advanced control applications dedicated to attenuate vibrations in mechanical systems. In addition, I am dedicated to dynamic systems modeling and identification, for the design of model-based predictive controllers (MPC).

I am the author or co-author of 33 research publications among articles in JCR journals, international congress proceedings and chapters in specialized books. I have participated as full researcher in 10 research projects funded in competitive calls. Finally, I have taken part as a researcher in 5 R & D contracts with companies, with which I am currently maintaining research projects.
