Joserra Díez (Bilbao, 1970). Graduate (1994) and PhD in Biological Sciences (2000) from the UPV/EHU. Associate Professor in the Department of Didactics of Mathematics, Experimental Sciences and Social Sciences at the Faculty of Education in Bilbao. He teaches in the Primary Education (Nature Sciences) and Social Education (Education for Sustainability) Degrees, as well as in the Master's Degree in Teacher Training (Earth Sciences in ESO).



Her lines of research focus on Science Education (how to better teach Earth and Life Sciences) and Ecosocial Education with special attention to water and territory. He is also active in river restoration and the dissemination of a New Water Culture.



He has 3 six-year research periods and 1 six-year transfer period. He has published 5 books, 12 book chapters, 5 articles published in international journals and more than 115 contributions to conferences. He has given more than 120 scientific conferences, participated in round tables, radio and television programmes. He is a member of the consolidated research group IKASGARAI, where he leads the subgroup on Earth Science Education and Sustainability. He is a member of APICE, AIL, CIREF, FNCA, UEU and COBE.
