Elizabeth Pérez Izaguirre holds a Diploma in Social Education (UPV/EHU) and a B.A. in Social and Cultural Anthropology (UPV/EHU). She finished an M.A. in International Relations (University of Kent) and holds a PhD in Education. Currently, she is an Adjunct Professor of the Department of Didactics and School Organization in the Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Anthropology II.
Her research focuses on the Basque education system using qualitative methodology. More precisely, she has conducted ethnographic research in Basque education to analyze the identities of immigrant students, as well as the relationship between teachers and students, in a broad power-relations framework.
