MESC+ is composed of three semesters of academic work (lectures, lab-work,…) plus a mandatory fourth semester in a research laboratory in Europe, USA or Australia for a 6 months Master’s thesis. MESC+ students (~30/ year) will therefore be offered to study in up to four different countries within 2 years, depending on their individual mobility choices:
- Year 1: dedicated to the science fundamentals associated with Energy Storage and Conversion. The first semester (S1) will be spent in Poland (Warsaw) by the whole class, which then will continue for S2 in France (Toulouse).
- Year 2: focused on practical and technological aspects covering all the levels of the value chain. Indeed the third Semester S3, more applied and focusing on technology, will be spent by students in either Spain (Bilbao), Slovenia (Ljubljana) or France (Amiens) in institutions that have invested massively and recently on prototyping of materials synthesis, battery manufacturing and technology transfer. Semester S4 will be dedicated to a 6-months Master’s Thesis research project within one of the thirty participating organizations in Europe, USA or Australia (Universities and Research Centers of ALISTORE-ERI, companies including BOSCH, UMICORE, RENAULT, TOTAL, E4V, SAFT, SOLVAY).
