PhD in Basque Philology (2004, extraordinary doctoral award). Professor in Basque Language and Communication Department since 2011. Member of the Ixa Research Group (HiTZ Center) on Natural Language Processing since 1993. Registry Assistant and person in charge of Basque at the Faculty of Engineering of Gipuzkoa for four years (2017/02-2021/03). Involved in the area of Applied Linguistics, her researching and teaching activity is focused on building linguistic resources and specialized terminology. She has more than 70 publications, included articles in journals indexed by the Journal Citation Report and Scimago Journal & Country Rank, and papers on top conferences of NLP. She has participated in several European projects and Spanish National projects, being the main researcher in four of them. She has directed 2 theses. She has 2 six-year research periods. She is coordinator in the development of a data-base dealing with civil engineering terminology within the TSE program of UPV-EHU.
