I am a biologist (2008, UPV/EHU) and I have a PhD in Science with the highest qualification of Cum Laude (2014 - UPV/EHU). I also have two postgraduate degrees (2009 – "Environmental Agrobiology" UPV/EHU; 2016 – "Occupational Risk Prevention" Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche, UMH). I have participated in more than ten competitive research projects with regional, national and European funding, and R&D contracts, mostly with public/private entities. I have published 20 scientific articles in international journals (first authorship in 14 of them) (H index: 11). I am co-author of 3 book chapters. I have also presented research works in more than 15 relevant national and international conferences in the area of Plant Physiology and Soil Microbial Ecology. I have focused my research career in the field of phytoremediation and phytomanagement of degraded and/or contaminated soils with metals, organic compounds and emerging pollutants. I belong to the BEZ-EKOFISKO Research Group. I actively participate in outreach events and channels. I am currently an assistant professor in the area of Plant Physiology, in the Dept. of Plant Biology and Ecology of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the UPV/EHU.
