Jaromir Kovarik holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Alicante. Currently, he is Associate Professor in the Dept. of Economics I, in which he teaches (in Spanish and English) Microeconomics, Game Theory, and Experimental Economics in the undergraduate programs in Economics and Business and in two graduate programs: Máster en Economía: Instrumentos del Análisis Económico and Master in Economics: Empirical Applications and Policies.
His research is multidisciplinary and focuses on social norms, psychology, complex systems, and social and economic networks. His work combines theoretical and numerical modeling, experimental methods, and analysis of both experimental and field data. He has published numerous scientific articles in economic journals such as Experimental Economics, Games and Economic Behavior, Quantitative Economics, or Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, as well as in journals of other disciplines including Journal of Theoretical Biology, Physica A, Scientific Reports or Frontiers of Behavioral Neuroscience.
