Methodology

The program is designed to be completed in one academic year.During the fall term, students take economic theory and applied courses, in which they develop the analytical, quantitative and programming skills necessary for the winter term's courses. During the spring term, students write a master's thesis on a selected topic. The time schedule, depending on the proffesors' availability, will be announced in due course. At any rate, our students should bear in mind that this is a full-time program. Additionally, Our Department organises seminars on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the academic year which students are required to attend. Thursday (brown-bag) seminars are informal and work in progress is presented. Friday seminars are more formal and invited speakers present research articles ready to be submitted to academic journals for publication. All classes in the master's program are in English.

Assessment

Students are evaluated in the light of two elements: On the one hand, students are required to hand in some pieces of homework for each subject. On the other hand, there is a traditional exam for each subject at the end of the first and second terms. The Master Dissertation is also evaluated by a Committee.
