That the students are able to develop the knowledge necessary to understand the complexity, interrelationships and dynamics of the action to prevent work hazards in companies.
That the students should be able to carry out activities of a technical nature related to prevention in the company, such as promoting prevention, risk assessment, the definition of corrective measures, the establishment of control and direction measures and the monitoring of the activities of technical persons with basic or intermediate functions, as well as the application of the new information and communication technologies in their different fields of action.
That the students, aware of the mechanisms of discrimination and their incidence in the field of occupational health, should be able to perform a critical analysis coherent with fundamental rights and those of equality between men and women, the principles of equal opportunities and universal accessibility for people with disabilities and the values of a culture of peace and democratic values.
The students should be able to carry out training activities and those providing information on preventive matters and perform work in a team or network, always using the appropriate terminology and techniques in oral and written communication.
The students should be able to carry out, coordinate and control the action plans to prevent occupational risks in companies.
The students should be able to perform analyses and diagnoses, provide support, advise and make decisions in matters of actions preventing occupational risks in the company.
The students should be able to promote a preventive culture within the company by means of behaviour, habits, customs and styles which create healthy living environments and encourage the active participation of the workers as protagonists of their own health.
