Nagore Iriondo has been a permanent assistant lecturer in Systems Engineering and Automatic Control at the University of the Basque Country (UPV) since 1989. She graduated in Industrial Engineering from the UPV/EHU, specialising in Electricity, in 1988. She studied the Master's Degree in Industrial Automation and Electronics and obtained her PhD in Control, Automation and Robotics Engineering from the University of the Basque Country in 2013.

In teaching, he has taught more than 30 subjects related to Automatic Control, Industrial Automation, Advanced Control Strategies and Technologies and Computer Science in different Engineering Degrees and Masters at the University of the Basque Country.

At the same time, he has been a member of the Control and Systems Integration Group (GCIS) since its beginnings in the early 1990s. The GCIS, a consolidated research group at the UPV/EHU, launched a research line on distributed industrial control systems, focusing on the application of information and communication technologies in distributed automation systems, and specialising in the paradigm of model-based engineering in automation systems, modelling techniques and their application in the design of automation systems, interoperability of engineering tools and dynamic reconfiguration of applications. As a researcher in the group, he worked within the framework of the application of the Model Driven Engineering paradigm in industrial control systems and reconfigured distributed applic
