Competencies

  • E1- Projecting and developing synthetic sequences in order to effectively access chemical products, using the most suitable methodologies.
  • E2- Selecting and using spectroscopy and diffraction techniques to solve structural problems, performing reactivity monitoring and taking on kinetic and mechanistic studies.
  • E3- Analysing, debating and obtaining conclusions from the data obtained self-sufficiently from laboratory experiments, relating them to the appropriate theories and using primary bibliographic sources.
  • E4- Understanding the reactivity of metals and organometallic compounds and their application as reagents and catalysts in synthesis.
  • E5- Understanding and applying new methodologies of stereo-controlled synthesis.
  • G1- Integrating advanced concepts for the different aspects of Chemical Synthesis and applying them to solving problems in new environments within broader or multidisciplinary contexts, in the field of research or the industry.
  • G2- Showing initiative for research, development and innovation, leading or joining work groups.
  • G3- Planning and organising laboratory work, managing time and resources.
  • G4- Writing scientific and technical reports, as well as giving speeches and presentations to specialised audiences.
  • G5- Critically analysing the information from the bibliography and integrating it in order to propose and contextualise a research subject in the field of Chemical Synthesis.
  • T1- Being able to work as part of a team and adapt to multidisciplinary teams.
  • T2- Having the learning skills that allow them to continue studying self-sufficiently.
  • T3- Communicating their conclusions, and the knowledge and final grounds that support them, to specialised and non-specialised audiences in a clear way without ambiguities.
  • T4- Valuing the human dimension and ethics in professional practise.
