She obtained a university degree in Basque Philology (2006) and received her PhD in Linguistics (2014) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Since 2015, she is Assistant Professor at the Department of Language and Literature Didactics -University of the Basque Country, teaching the following courses: Language and Literature Didactics, Bases for Language Didactics in Multilingual Contexts, Theoretical Bases for Language Learning. Her research interests are mainly focused on Language Acquisition, Bilingualism, Multilingualism, Language Development in Infants, Second/Third Language Learning and Teaching and Language Processing. She developed her PhD at the BCBL-Basque Center on Cognition, Brain, and Language, an international center of reference in cognitive neuroscience. In 2012-13, she visited the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development in Sydney (Australia) for a research stay. She also worked at Laboratoire Psychologie de la Perception in Paris (France) as a postdoctoral researcher (2014-15). She has been part of several funded research projects over the last few years, and presented her results in international conferences on psycholinguistics and bilingualism/multilingualism.
