Methodology

The teaching methodology associated with ECTS credits is applied in the Master's Degree. That means a change in the teaching-learning process and in the evaluation of the results. Three aspects of this methodology deserve to be underlined:-The whole of the teaching system will be centered on the pupil's learning. This obliges the student to adopt an active role in the educational process. Similarly, students must be conscious that they have to maintain a strong work rhythm from the start of the course, and that their dedication must be continuous.-Teaching is directed at giving training in abilities and skills applied to research in contemporary history, more than at acquiring knowledge.-Significant participation by the student in the lecture room is expected. The student's work is carried out both outside and inside the lecture room. Each session attended requires prior preparatory work by the pupil, and her willingness to present and discuss her conclusions.

Assessment

The Master's Degree will have a single global qualification, which will include the numerical expression: fail (0-4.9), pass (5-6.9), notable (7-8.9) and outstanding (9-10). That qualification will be reached by adding up the marks obtained in the course adjusted by the number of credits, according to the following formula: (CI x 0,1) + (C1 x 0,05) + (C2 x 0,05) + (C3 x 0,05) + (C4 x 0,05) + (C5 x 0,05) + (C6 x 0,05) + (CV x 0,2).CI: qualification of module I (The qualification of module 1 will be the result of the sum of the qualifications of DU1, DU2, DU3 and DU4, adjusted by 0.1, 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5, respectively. For the evaluation of each of the Didactic Units, see the teaching web page on the Net). * C1: qualification of course 1* C2: qualification of course 2* C3: qualification of course 3* C4: qualification of course 4* C5: qualification of course 5* C6: qualification of course 6* CV: qualification of the research memorandum
