Dr. Amaia Santamaría is graduated in Civil Engineering (2010 Technical engineering 2013 Degree), Master in Construction Engineering (2012) and doctorate in advanced materials (2017), all degrees developed in the University of Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She has been for 4 months learning in the University of Padova in the research group of Carlo Pellegrino. Before started her career in the university she was working in the Construction Company BERMEOSOLO S.A. (2010-2011) and in Tecnalia (2012) .
Currently she occupies a position (Profesor laboral Interino) at the University of Basque Country in The Mechanics Engineering department, in Continuous Media Mechanics and Structures Area. She has been the supervisor of 14 TFGs and participate in 5 conference papers about the educational innovation.
She has published 24 scientific papers (WOS indexed), 19 Q1. Additionally, she has 24 papers in 19 international congresses and 2 book chapter. She has participated in 9 R&D projects (1 European, 3 National, 5 Regional). The research developed in these projects are related with Concrete Technology, Mechanical and Physical characteristics of concrete and reuse of industrial byproducts in construction industry.
