Graduate in Fine Arts (UPV/EHU). He is currently a contracted as Professor in the Department of Painting of the Fine Arts Faculty, where he teaches in the Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage and in the University Master's Degree in Conservation and Exhibition of Contemporary Art-CYXAC. His main lines of research are focused on the conservation of painting on canvas, as well as on the study of the durability and resistance to aging of polychrome coatings on reinforced concrete in the María Cristina bridge in San Sebastián within the doctoral program Interdisciplinary Scientific Strategies in Heritage and Landscape (ECIPP).
