Professor in the Department of Art History and Music at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). Has a Bachelor’s Degree (2000) and PhD (2017) in Art History. Teaching at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Leioa.
The main field of research is art criticism and writings on contemporary art developed in the Basque Country. Doctoral thesis on the criticism of art developed in Bilbao before the Spanish Civil War, and has written several articles on art critics and Basque Cultural Press, among the latest: La crítica de arte en Bilbao (1876-1937): comienzo de una andadura. Bilbao: Provincial Council of Bizkaia, 2020; “El certamen desde la crítica de arte: la exposición-bisagra”. Buletina Boletín Bulletin del Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao, 11 (2019), 115-183; and “Las artes plásticas en la revista Euzkadi (1901, 1905-1909, 1910-1915). La construcción de un discurso cultural desde el nacionalismo vasco”. Bidebarrieta, 24 (2013), 82-98.
Her research also involves educational innovation to improve teaching at the Department of Art History and Music of UPV-EHU.
