She has a degree and a PhD in Fine Arts from the UPV-EHU University. Adjunct professor at the University of the Basque Country where she teaches at the Leioa campus in Bizkaia.
She teaches in the Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage and in the University Master's Degree in Conservation and Exhibition of Contemporary Art-CYXAC. Her main lines of research focus on preventive conservation, as well as the managing of exhibitions, transport, packaging and storage. In her professional career, she has worked for more than ten years in the conservation department of the Guggenheim-Bilbao Museum and has developed a comprehensive conservation plan for the basque artist Néstor Basterretxea (Bermeo 1924-Hondarribia 2014)
Among his most outstanding publications, we find the book "Basic Conservation Manual for Artists" (2022) from Trea publishing house.
