The English language is nowadays the main tool of communication worldwide. It is the only language present on every continent and, as a link between different cultures, it contributes to the disappearance of borders. Literary, cultural and scientific production is so prolific that the training of professionals is essential.
The Degree in English Studies will provide you with general and specific knowledge of the language and its linguistics, literature and culture; it will also provide you with advanced training in the oral and written aspects of the language, with an emphasis on multilingualism and multiculturalism.
You can also specialise in one of the following specialisations or pathways: Linguistics, English Linguistics, English Language Literature, European Literature and Culture or Second Language, choosing from German, Spanish, French, Russian, Basque or Classical Languages.
To complete your education, the UPV/EHU offers you the possibility of doing voluntary external internships in companies and public institutions.
