Acquired skills
These are the main competences for which this degree will qualify you:
- To analyse, summarise and explain English grammar and usage.
- To be capable of communicating (producing and understanding) any kind of long oral and written discourse in the English language.
- To be capable of conveying the knowledge acquired in different academic contexts that serve as a practical for different professional contexts.
- To be capable of relating the degrees specific knowledge to other areas and disciplines and convey it for its application in further studies and favour integrating and tolerant attitudes towards multilingual and multicultural diversity.
- To be capable of understanding the main ideas in complex texts in a second language and expressing themselves in a straightforward and fluent manner in it both orally and in writing.
- To be capable of working both individually and as a team, making use of the techniques and tools acquired.
- To communicate correctly both orally and in writing in at least one of the official languages of the Basque Autonomous Community (Spanish and Basque).
- To understand the history, civilization and culture of English-speaking countries.
- To understand the history, development and current variations of the English language.
- To understand, analyse and interpret literature in English, and be capable of critically assessing texts and documents in English.
