Garbiñe Biurrun Mancisidor has been an Associate Professor of Labour and Social Security Law at the Faculty of Law of Donostia-San Sebastián, the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea since November 1982, teaching both theoretically and practically in Basque.

She is also Social Magistrate and since 2009, she has been President of the Social Chamber of the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country.

She has participated as a speaker and director in a large number of Conferences organized by different public and private institutions and Professional Associations, many of them as training sessions within the framework of the CGPJ training programme, on various subjects related to Labour Law and Social Security, always linked to current legal, legislative and jurisprudential issues.

She has co-directed and participated in the translation into Basque of the Labour Procedure Law, published by the UPV/EHU Publishing Service -ISBN: 84-8373-894-5.
