She began her professional career as a practicing lawyer at the Bar Association of Bizkaia. At the University, her academic specialisation has focused on the different legal disciplines of the social branch of Law, especially in Social Security Law and Procedural Labour Law. In fact, her PhD was about “The labour process’ judgement”.

In recent times, due to academic reasons she focuses and deeps on gender discrimination and equality, since equality plans and collective bargaining. Since 1999 to date, she has contributed to publications, mostly journal articles, on a variety of social issues. She has attended and participated in many activities related to these same lines of research.  She is currently participating in several research projects, including the MINECO TRANSLABOUR coordinated project (Ref. DER2017-83040-C4-1-R) with an execution period of 4 years.
