Breve descripción de contenidos: Se abordan los conceptos fundamentales de la cinética química aplicada y del diseño de reactores químicos ideales. Para ello se adquieren los conceptos básicos que permiten estudiar sistemas con una o varias reacciones operando a temperatura constante o variable, tanto en sistemas homogéneos (o pseudo-homogéneos) como heterogéneos (catalíticos o no). Por último se adquieren las bases más sencillas que permiten estudiar el mezclado y el flujo no ideal.
Se requieren conocimientos previos de química, termodinámica, mecánica de fluidos, física, etc.
Es una asignatura correspondiente a la especialización/intensificación en Ingeniería de procesos y materiales, destinada fundamentalmente a aquellos alumnos que deseen cursar posteriormente la especialización en Ingeniería Química del Máster en Ingeniería Industrial.
Las competencias que se quieren alcanzar con esta asignatura son las siguientes:
• Conocimientos sobre balances de materia y energía, transferencia de materia, operaciones de separación, ingeniería de la reacción química, diseño de reactores, y valorización y transformación de materias primas y recursos energéticos.
• Capacidad para el análisis, diseño, simulación y optimización de procesos y productos.
• Capacidad para el diseño y gestión de procedimientos de experimentación aplicada, especialmente para la determinación de propiedades termodinámicas y de transporte, y modelado de fenómenos y sistemas en el ámbito de la ingeniería química, sistemas con flujo de fluidos, transmisión de calor, operaciones de transferencia de materia, cinética de las reacciones químicas y reactores.
• Capacidad para diseñar, gestionar y operar procedimientos de simulación, control e instrumentación de procesos químicos.

MethodologyToggle Navigation
Dentro de cada una de las sesiones habrá exposiciones teóricas, apoyadas con transparencias, en las que se impartirán los conceptos básicos de la asignatura, y también se dedicará a la realización pequeños ejercicios, actividades en grupo sobre cuestionarios de resolución dirigida y rondas de opinión, que permitan fijar mejor los conceptos y facilitar su comprensión de la asignatura. También se realizarán prácticas de laboratorio para reforzar los conocimientos adquiridos en las prácticas de aula, y en las clases magistrales.

Examen final (teoría y problemas). 85 % de la nota final
Memoria y resultados de las prácticas y trabajos voluntarios. 15 % de la nota final.
Aclaraciones: 0.85* Examen final + 0.15 Prácticas, hojas de problemas/cuestiones.
Para aprobar la asignatura se deberá superar el examen final.
