Traditionally, literature has been understood as a reflection of its historical context. In the face of this view, however, in recent decades it has been argued that literary texts actively collaborate in the process of constructing history; that is, they are integrated into the social, political, ideological and cultural system, and contribute to the creation of ideology, and social movements.
That's the reason why the aim of the research group IdeoLit (Literature as a Historical Document) is to study the literary text in its relationship with the social, political, ideological and cultural context at various significant moments both for the history of literature and for national and universal history, paying special attention to the relationship between literary texts and power structures.
