Line mapping system by Headwall Photonics, Inc. (Massachusetts, USA) works in the wavelength range of 938–1630 nm with a spectral resolution of 4.85 nm, recording a total of 142 wavelength channels (λ) for each spectrum.

The line mapping scanning system consists of 320 sensors measuring a 50 mm of field-of-view-line moving the object in one direction. The steps can be tunned between 10 and 300 μm in each movement.
