Eva Ibarrola received her Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2010 from the University of the Basque Country for her work in the area of user-centric Quality of Service (QoS) management models. She was honored with the best thesis award in Management, Economy and Telecommunications Regulation from the Telecommunication Engineering Official College in Spain. Prior to joining University of the Basque Country, she worked in the National Network Supervision and Operation Center of Telefónica (1991-2000) where she acquired the experience in management and regulation of QoS that has been crucial for the development of her research within the NQaS group. Eva Ibarrola has actively participated in international conferences and her work has been recognized with several awards. She has been cooperating with different standardization bodies (ITU-T, ETSI, TeleManagement Forum) and leading and participating in different R&D projects (OBAVAQoS, QoXfera, QoBiz, ADAMANTIUM, GERYON, MONROE and QoEverage). She has cooperated with other international research groups through three researches staying in Ireland. Since 2000, she has been a lecturer at the School of Engineering teaching more than 10 subjects in the Bachelor and Master Degree in Telecommunications Engineering. She currently teaches four subjects in the Bachelor Degree and one in the Master Degree.
