AITZIBER FERNANDEZ JIMENEZ

Graduate (2006) in Dentistry, with a Scholarship from the Pierre-Fauchard Academy (2005), Master's Degree in Periodontology and Osseointegration (2011) and PhD in Medicine and Surgery (2021), all from the UPV/EHU where she has been a professor since 2011. Specifically, as a professor in the Master's Degree in Periodontics and Osseointegration since 2011, and associate professor in the Degree of Dentistry since 2015. Completed this activity with the exclusive private practice in Periodontics and Implants since 2011, with the work of Secretary of the Department of Stomatology II (2018-2019) and with the attendance to multiple continuing education courses and national and international congresses.



She has received an Scholarship for Initiation / Reincorporation to Research Activity at the UPV/EHU (2018), thus being part of the research group PPFI18/17 Cancer and Oral Precancer, and another Scholarship for educational innovation projects (PIE) (2019). As author and co-author, she has carried out multiple communications, with several mentions, in national and international congresses. In addition to publications in national and international journals. Her lines of research focus, within the specialty of Periodontics, on the mucogingival treatment of gingival recessions.
