Degree in Biology (2002) and PhD (2009) in Ecology from the University of the Basque Country (UPV EHU). She is a member of the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development and Environmental Education, a personal researcher with a doctorate in the Department of Plant Biology and Ecology of the UPV/EHU since 2004 and a member of the Natural Capital group (Group A of the Basque university system), where he has participated in more of 25 research projects.
Currently, she is coordinator of the project "Evaluation of the Ecosystem Services of the Basque Country", a project funded by the Basque Government and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia (2011-).
She is a professor in the UPV/EHU's own "Environmental Law" Degree, in the Own Master's Degree in Environment and Sustainability of the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development and Environmental Education of the UPV/EHU, in the Master's Degree in Biodiversity, Operation and Ecosystem Management and in the Master in Landscape, Heritage, Territory and City Management at the UPV/EHU.
In addition, she has participated and contributed to numerous courses, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, congresses and meetings, both national and international, and has published more than 10 articles in scientific journals, 6 book chapters, 2 books and 4 informative publications.
Her lines of research focus on the evaluation and application of the framework of ecosystem services and green infrastructure in land use planning and forest management.
