Graduate in Biological Sciences at the university of Salamanca (1983), PhD in Biology at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 1989 and currently Teacher of Botany in the same university. Since joining up the University of the Basque Country, in 1983, her scientific works have focused on the study of fungi, particularly in Basidiomycota, addressing the study of these organisms from taxonomic and systematic aspects to ecological and applied regards. Her teaching experience is wide, and has focused on the degree of Biology, as well as in several postgraduate studies. During these years she has supervised 5 doctoral theses. Likewise, note that she has conducted several Final Degree’s dissertations (TFG) in the degree of Biology and several Final Master’s dissertations in the Masters of Environmental Agrobiology and Biodiversity, Ecosystem Functioning and Management.
To date she has published 43 articles in SCI journals (23 are Q1), 30 articles no indexed, 7 teaching articles and some divulgation articles. Her h-index is 11. She has also participated in 20 research projects.
In addition to participating in collegiate bodies of the university, both teaching and research routine management, during the period July 2011 to July 2016 she had an institutional responsibility as Coordinator of the Degree in Biology.
