Master in Computational Linguistics and PhD in Theoretical Linguistics (University of Maryland, 2002). Her research area is mainly within the field of theoretical linguistics. Her work focuses mainly on nominal structures, especially in Basque, from a wide perspective that includes theoretical as well as applied approaches in the context of the lexical-discursive development of Basque in scientific texts. She teaches undergraduate courses on specialized uses of Basque in health sciences in the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing as well as a graduate course (Linguistics for natural language processing) in the master Language Analysis and Processing (HAP).
