Maite de Blas Martín, graduated in Chemical Engineering (2004), she received her PhD in Environmental Engineering (2010), both from Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao (UPV/EHU). She is since 2004 a member of the Atmospheric Research Group of the UPV/EHU and her research is focused on the characterization of atmospheric pollution by volatile organic compounds. She has participated in more than 15 European, national and regional research projects, resulting in more than 40 contributions including book chapters, conference proceedings and technical reports. She has published 9 articles in relevant indexed journals in the area of air pollution such as Science of the Total Environment or Atmospheric Environment.
Since 2018, she is an Associate Professor in Environmental Technologies at the Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao and teaches in several Engineering Degrees and in the Interuniversity Master program in Environmental Engineering. Throughout more than 10 years of teaching career, she has published several teaching materials and courses on the UPV/EHU-OCW platform. She has participated in six educational innovation and sustainability in education projects, coordinating one of them, resulting in more than 20 contributions among articles, book chapters and contributions to teaching innovation congresses and conferences. In the summer of 2011, she did an internship at the University of Nevada (Reno, USA) in the context of UPV/EHU-USAC agreement.
