Graduated in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2004), where she also specialized in Clinical Neuropsychology (2007). A licensed general health psychologist and associate professor since 2017, she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in three languages (Basque, Spanish, and English). She has combined teaching with university management, serving as Vice-Dean of Internships and Postgraduate Studies (2015–2019) and currently as Director of the Psychological Support Service at UPV/EHU.



Since completing her PhD in 2010, focused on the neuropsychological and structural characterization of patients with Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 and other neuromuscular diseases, she has participated in multidisciplinary research projects in collaboration with professionals from clinical, biological, methodological, and informatics fields at both national and international levels. She is the Principal Investigator (PI) of an FIS project (ISCIII) and another funded by the Basque Government's Department of Health. She has two recognized research periods ("sexenios"), with merits equivalent to a third, and one in knowledge transfer.



Her research also encompasses cognitive impairment in Multiple Sclerosis and neurodevelopment in premature children.
